SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES
for FESTIVAL PERFORMERS in 2008

During this Festival, the Management of the Portsmouth Music Festival will be looking for a number of
talented performers whom it can recommend for the following exciting opportunities. Those chosen will be
invited to take part in the events detailed below, which are designed to develop musicianship and performance
skills and to widen experience.
 
The Portsmouth Festivities

THE PORTSMOUTH FESTIVITIES RECITAL PRIZE 2009
allowing an outstanding soloist or ensemble to perform their debût recital
 
Preference for this opportunity will be given to performers aged 21 years and under
 
and
 
A VOCAL MASTERCLASS 2008
to be given by
 
ZOË TYLER
 
This opportunity will be given to performers aged 19 years and under
 
The Solent Symphony Orchestra
offers the
a CONCERTO AWARD to a PMF prize-winner to perform
with the Orchestra in its Spring concert in 2009
 
The Milton Glee Club and the Portsmouth Music Festival
will choose two young musicians from this Festival to be SPONSORED
to attend the European Youth Music Summer School in July/August 2008
